I am convinced the super friendly female voice is pre-recorded as I have received several calls from the same voice of a friendly Australian lady always introducing herself by name (always a different name) on behalf of a charity. I asked where she was calling from and after a pause she stated she was located in the Phillipines. When I questioned if it was a pre recorded robo-call she initially laughed; and then apologised for the inconvenience and hung up. I now wonder if this could be a phillipino call centre employee with a pick list of pre-recorded responses in an Australian voice...!? In any case it's an unsolicited call.

Polite voice Lisa from charity agency. Strange pauses between sentences, I suspect her voice was activated by my voice. She sometimes asked me to say again and she could not be sidetracked from her spiel if I asked a distracting question. Silent pause - then spiel again. I think it may be an IVR. Originally she said the conv would be recorded for training purposes. Thinking back perhaps I was talking to a firm but polite and clever voice activated recording. Latest technology Robocall maybe?

Yes Lisa Collins answers in a broad Australian accent from numerous different numbers around Australia including this one. It is a SCAM.

They constantly ring without leaving a message but this time a part message was left "calling from charity trust".
