Caller: I don’t know

Call came through, I heard a faint noise at the very beginning (signifying the call connected on their end). I said hello? and then heard talking in the background as if it were a call centre. I said hello again - thinking there was a delay since it just connected. A woman said “hello is this (insert name)”. They asked for a male and not anyone that I know. I said “no” and they said “okay. sorry” and hung up.
The lack of explaining who they are and the connection noise, and background noise makes me think scam. Cant find anything about this number online to indicate a real company.
