Budget direct seems right, I just did an on line quote with them and 10 mins later get the call but nobody there.

Looks like they are confirming the number you give them is real

Its definitely budget direct, i did an online quote early today and requested a call back. Since then they just keep calling and hanging up. It be good if their was a person on the other line.

No sound when I answer and then it hangs up.

Did an online quote for comparison purpose earlier today & now they phone me hourly, yet sometimes when I answer the line goes dead. They are clearly aggressive sales people working from a call centre, which doesn't inspire good customer service

A representative from Budget Direct contacted me on this number following an online quote. It takes a while for the call to connect, as it initially sounds like there is no one there. I waited about 20 seconds and the Australian speaking representative appeared on the line. I took out the car insurance policy which was also confirmed with an email.

Just keeps calling me and when I pick up after the third call in a row - they hang up. Has happened 6 times today.

I entered my details in for a car insurance quote with budget direct. 5 attempts to call my phone in the last 2 hours. They don't give up and I definitely won't be doing business with the spammers

Like other commenters, I assume this was Budget Direct given that I had taken out an online quote about an hour before. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. If they continue to call I will block. The only good thing about Budget Direct is that they are cheap - which is why they have such dreadful customer service and processes, I guess.

I also did an online quote for cat insurance with budget Direct. Got this number call yesterday and this morning. I go with the number confirmation theory/follow up call that is initiated automatically then after 20secs connects you to a sales person who will no doubt ask if you are happy to take out a policy.

Just hung up when I answered

Received a call from the number but my phone rejected it automatically (iPhone) and sent it to voicemail. Looked it up here and yes, I also did an online quote 15 minutes ago.

Following an online Budget Direct quote enquiry, I received two calls fm this number. No response from what I hope is a 'real-life' caller (as opposed to computer generated). Why don't BD mention this likely activity during the quote process.
