Was first called on 16/02/2021 and then on 22/02/2021. Sounded to be of a VoIP line quality and not actually a local call centre. Caller was asking about a car accident within the last year. Pretty broad timeline. They asked about the claim and if I was at fault and injured in the accident. They also wanted to know when the accident occurred.
I had told them I had advised the insurance company of all these details already and if they were legitimate they would have had this information already. They said they needed it to verify me so I gave them false information and they still proceeded.
This call came in on another number which I had not associated with the insurance company or any other matters regarding the claim and also is a number where I have received a fair amount of spam calls lately. The caller knew my surname so I was assuming this information was obtained from a leaked database but someone else mentioned they believe it was from Facebook and sure enough, my work line was listed as public.

Said they were ringing me about a car accident I had. Told them I hadn't had one and then they said it was my family member. Told them there's been no car accident then they hung up.

3rd time today calling me, 4th in two days. I am STILL registered on the DNC list. From now on I will answer by blowing a whistle as loud as I can through the phone.

55 minutes after they called me and hung up on me after stating I was listed on the DNC l, they called again. This time I answered and put the phone next to my speakers and played Hillary Duff’s “To the beat of my heart”. They hung up after 37 seconds.

Called repeatedly about a car accident. Had no details but promised $20000 in compensation. Stated other driver had already claimed against me. Hung up and he called straight back. Definitely a scam.

On replying that I had not had a car accident, they instantly hung up. Scammers working through every number as quickly as possible in search of that "yes".
You Can Call Me Joe

Called yesterday (18/02/21) saying they were from an insurance company and i cut her off telling her i was registered on the DNC list so asked why they'd be calling me when i am on the DO NOT CALL register at which point the Indian girl hung up on me. fast forward to 3:15pm today and they called again, another Indian Girl said hello how are you to which io replied "confused as im registered on the DNC list so why are you calling me" and then she hung up on me. Will be makign a formal complaint with the business ombudsman as i should not be receiving cold calls.

Called me telling me I had a car accident, but can't specify when. I played along, wasted their time as I didn't have my computer. Hoping to hear back from them to capture their telephony info (not this spoofed DID number) - to which they will get 100's of calls a second for the next week =)
