This number has been spoofed by a scammer. It is an active landline service I have had for a couple of decades.

After I abruptly cut off an obvious "Telstra Internet" scam, I started getting dozens of callbacks from people who had missed calls apparently from this number.

Please don't call back, you're just helping this guy harass me. I'm sorry you were inconvenienced too, but it's worse for me.

And to the absolute flog who called me repeatedly from a Sydney landline number until I answered, then pretended to be the "Australian Fraud Police" you should be aware that impersonating a police officer is an indictable offence.

Called this afternoon and hung up as soon as the answer machine picked up

This caller had an Indian accent and said they were from the Telstra Technical Department......I don't even bother speaking to them anymore, I just hang up.
