Caller: Call centre This call showed as coming from Brisbane, Queensland. When I answered there was a few seconds of silence followed by background noise of a call centre and a man's voice (with an Indian accent) who said his name was Emmanuel something and that he was the security department of the Commonwealth Bank. He then asked me how I was and I replied "very well thank you", there was a short silence then the call was terminated from the other end.

Called claiming to be from Telstra - we don't use Telstra - told them to go away

Caller: Claimed to be from Australian government They said that they had detected an abnormality on my phone.

Caller: Indian guy Another waste of my time. Knew my company name though which is concerning. I’m just going to stop answering calls from Victoria or QLD.

Said he was with Commonwealth Bank - when I said I don’t bank with them, he hung up.
