no message left when I didn't pick up - most likey scam.

Called and left no message.

Claimed to be nbn from Telstra. Sounded like a scam and he hung up on me

This call showed as coming from Brisbane, Queensland. When I answered there were several seconds of silence, then a recorded female computer voice told me that she was from the security department of Paypal and that my account had been debited of a sum of money to pay a Norton account and that I should either press button 1 to report it as fraudulent or 2 if it was OK. Needless to say I did neither, just hung up. I then tried calling the number back only to hear a recorded voice telling me that the number I had dialled was not in use, so it had obviously been hi-jacked by the scammers. I have recently received a number of similar scam calls from Brisbane numbers, all beginning with 3305 then usually 19 followed by two other digits (in this case 48) which keep changing as the scammers continue their activities. They are obviously using quite a large batch of numbers, probably illegally and I suspect from overseas.
