Caller: Recorded message

This call showed as coming from Brisbane, Queensland. When I answered there was a short silence then a recorded female voice told me that she was from the bank security department (didn't say which bank) and that my bank card had been used for two transactions (one for $550 and one for $3000) and that I should press button 1 if I considered the transactions to be fraudulent. Needless to say, I won't be pressing any buttons for these people.

No message left but seems to be related to (07) 3305 1942

Called & left voicemail. Pretending to be calling about anomalies with my passport. Option to press number for English or Chinese. Clearly scammers.

I received a call from this number earlier today and it was definitely a scam call from an Indian call centre, most likely overseas although the call showed as coming from Brisbane. Later in the day I tried calling the number back only to hear a recorded message telling me that the number was not in service. I have had a number of similar calls over the past week or so, all from 07 numbers starting with 3305 then mostly followed by 19 then two other digits (such as 23 in this case). It's obvious that these people have somehow hacked into the Telstra system and have hi-jacked some of their numbers. Most of the calls are amateurish attempts at pretending to be bank security and so on and not at all convincing. I imagine that Telstra knows it's happening, but cannot stop it.
