Caller: Electricity Provider Comparing Prices

I received a call from this number, a woman with a thick accent told me it was about my electricity, that rate plans have done up, and they want to offer discounts. I asked how they got my number, she advised an Australia Database, asked her which one, she said "i don't know", I asked who does, she advised she can pass me through to a senior, she then terminated the call.

Lady called and offered 28% off on electricity. I said i don’t need and she said why don’t you need it.

Called after 5pm. Indian sounding woman responded about 15 seconds after I answered the phone call. High levels of background noise and laughter that sounded kind of like a household would. I asked why she was calling. She spoke rapidly and I heard her mention "electricity". I asked what agency she was from and she hung up on me. Phone number was not blocked and located in Ipswich. I tried to call back hours later from a blocked number; no answer. Felt very dodgy compared to usual telemarketer style calls.

calls once or twice some days, always hangs up after i say "Employer's Name, my name".
no doubt some telemarketer for power Co. I have solar PV so always cut them off with "whats your feed in tariff?" they umm and ahh and do not know... "call me when you do, if its better than 14c /kwh"

2 calls, one in the morning and one in the evening, both terminated when I answered.

This appears to be some sort of call centre for energy providers....

Can you hear me call? Is this a scam?

An indian lady argued over the phone that she can give me 28% energy bill discount. Isaid I will look up online but she kept arguing that she can do better deal. Her voice and manner was really distrassing to hear
