Bottom feeding scum who purchase debt from Optus and then call over and over trying to extort payment

they call numerous times a day while I am at work so I am unable to answer sometimes. They never ever leave a message so I never call back just in case it's a scam.
The one occasion I could answer, it was a blank call, I said hello and they hung up after 5 seconds, so while previous comments said it's a debt collector and it's legit to call to collect monies owed, but not saying anything nor leaving messages and calling more than 5 times a day during someone's working hours is pure harassment.

Not a scam and nothing illegal. Was a debt I owed, if I owe money it is not a scam for them to call seeking it back. Honestly people, pay your debts and have some accountability instead of blaming a service that is performing a legitimate and legal function.

Oh please, get a life! We all manage to be late for a payment of a debt or two every now and the, But these people calling me excessively over a repayment overdue by only 2 days is ridiculous! Get a real job losers and find something else to do with your pathetic waste of space and time, Idiot losers!

This person clearly works for PRA. While you may have defaulted on paying a debt, you clearly didn’t default to PRA or take out the loan (or amenities) WITH PRA. No they have bought the debt from whoever you originally had the debt with and are attempting to get you to pay that debt with them. (They purchased it for next to nothing.) IF they can verify your phone number, postal address, email account or speak to you directly then they can default you as long as they’ve bought the debt within the 6 years before it becomes stat barred. If it is longer than 6 years, then the default will fall off your credit rating and they cannot pursue you via legal channels for the debt. Nor can they say that they can do so, or threaten you in any way shape or form with legal action. BUT if they can get you to admit that you owe the debt and confirm your details (“sorry I need to verify who I’m speaking to for confidentiality” lol, no, they need to get you on a recording so they can re-start the 6 years), then they can trick you into restarting the 6 years all over again. Be super careful. Best to not answer. Especially to this noodle who clearly works for them. Must be fun to be abused all day long.

Nobody owes any money to this mob and so it is completely reasonable to ignore them

Actually it's considered Harressment' if they call you, everything in writing or threaten legal action against them for calling you and not writing

You must work for them, they're bottom feeding scammers when they're buying debts that have already since been settled directly, but still want their 'cut' and continue to harass.

N what about those getting calls who don’t have debt like myself I don’t have unpaid debts iv never had a loan, credit card by now pay later n I get 5-10 calls every few days
