Called, gave no information about what company she was with. Indian lady. Said because "I had my number for so long I get a free android phone" as soon as I said "no thank you" she instantly hung up. If that isn't clear as day i don't know what is.

Got another call from this number, this time an Indian woman said that I was a good customer and that she could offer me a better phone deal. I asked who she was representing, and she said OPTUS. I hung up.

27 calls right after another in the space of an hour. At first tried to explain I wasnt interested but they ignored and continued to call over and over after I hung up. I even got my sister in law to yell at them but this did not phase them. Where can I report them?

Answered, but no one there. Getting sick of these types of calls. I've even registered my numbers on the no call register.

When I pushed for details about which company he was calling from, he said 'Optus'. When I said I wasn't with Optus and asked how he knew how long I had had my phone number and how did he know I had a good credit history, he hung up.

Scam. Call from male, Indian accent. Said I was a good mobile customer with the company and they wanted to reward me. When I asked them with which provider they got the answer correct but hung up immediately after as they probably realised I was on to them.

I did not get to answer, so tried to call back, as I was awaiting a phone call from my Doctor. They said the number was disconnected. Must be a scam company.

Basically they want you to call the Do Not Call Register and remove the "Silent" setting. Interesting. After that they want to send you a new sim card supposedly with your number to replace the one you already have (and keep your current number - very generous of them). Unlimited calls in Aust for only $25. Two things. One, I wouldn't trust any sim card from them to work or be virus free. And two, they will have your account details.
I wasted their time repeatedly by not doing as they asked and saying that it wasn't connected.
Give them a big miss!

Didnt answer the call today but have had many of these before offering the free phone , all from Qld, similar numbers. (You block one, then another comes through a few weeks later, the next sequential number, grrr).

They called my mobile. I didn't answer, but when I called back I was advised (by my phone provider) the number had been disconnected.

Got a call from an indian lady telling me "I had my number for so long I get a free android phone", i (probably stupidly) went with it to see what BS this was & she asked if i pay monthly or on a plan to which i said i pay prepaid yearly, then she asked how much i spend, i said about $250. she replied "oh, so you dont use your phone much" & i said i use it heaps! mainly data. she then said "oh, data... *silence*... *hangs up*" WTF?!
