These guys phoned me 5 times in 1 day claiming that I am entitled to cheaper electricity, yet could not confirm my identity, or where I lived. I strung them along to see what information they had about me. Seems they had nothing, just ringing random numbers. Extremely rude, typical telemarketers.

I dont know how they know my name??

Indian person trying to talk about energy savings - They should not have my number

I received a call from this number, stating they were from Ergon and if It was me that paid the bills, when I said yes, they said thank you and hung up.

When I answer, they hang up.

rang me like 6 times, I called back once and they ended the call.

They call every hour until you pickup, and do not leave voicemail.

They said they were from 'offers'
and tried to collect my personal information.

Few days ago got a rude Indian woman blathering on about energy from (07) 3050 3041. Couldn't get a word in. Was going to explain that I don't pay an electricity bill (included in my rent) and thus don't have accounts with any energy company. Wouldn't shut up so I just hung up and put the number on auto-reject.
Just now got a call from this number. Indian guy doing the same, told him I don't pay electricity and was immediately hung up on before I could ask "where the f*ck did you get my number?"

Where are these people getting our numbers and names? Why the f*ck are they so rude?
