Caller: FRANCOM Francom has been spamming my phone with endless calls from rotating numbers, always asking for people not connected to this number. This is deliberate harassment and mirrors the conduct of Panthera Finance, the company Francom purchased. Panthera was fined $500,000 by the Federal Court in 2020 for undue harassment, including chasing identity theft victims for debts they didn’t owe, and was banned from debt collection in Victoria for five years after repeatedly breaching the law. Reports later exposed how Panthera even evaded that ban. It’s clear Francom is continuing these same disgraceful practices, using rotating numbers to dodge blocking and intimidate people. If you’re being contacted in this way, be aware this is a pattern of behaviour from a company with a proven record of unlawful conduct.

Caller: Francom Received a missed call from this number on Wednesday 08/10/25. I don’t answer numbers that I don’t know so I let it ring out. The female Francom employee called me and I quote “An arsehole” for not answering their call.

Caller: Francom (Debt Collector) This number belongs to Francom, who are continuing the predatory tactics of Panthera Finance. I have been subjected to regular harassment from this number, including receiving five calls in less than 60 seconds. As they should be well aware, this constitutes undue harassment under the ACCC/ASIC guidelines. A formal complaint, complete with call logs, is being prepared for submission to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) and the ACCC to ensure this unlawful conduct is addressed.

Sick and tired of different numbers calling me and when I answer they won’t speak unless I do first so they hang up. Or they ask for people that I don’t know.
