Said he was from Optus. Asked if I was having phone or computer problems. Answered no and he said he would take me off the list. I had not put any complaints in with Optus at all.

Be very careful. They are on the phone to optus at the same time. Optus send a code and it’s very convincing. Once they have the code, they will order phones etc. Be very careful

Malicious fraud/phishing scam call. Spoofed Caller ID. Purporting to be Optus. In actuality it's a scam call-centre operation in India.

Do not 'confirm' any personal or financial details.

Said they were from Vodafone and wanted to offer me 6 months plan at half price. Soon as I said this sounds like a scam and I’ll ring Vodafone directly and confirm they hung up. Could also here everyone in background talking.

SCAM. Lots of background noise so not a professional call centre. Very poor English. Kept offering discounts and customer loyalty gifts. Wanted me to keep holding on while they checked something.

Vodafone giving 50% discount on my plan, asked for my PIN number no thanks

phone rang and, when answered, the other end beeped 4 times and hung up.
Number has been blocked.
Scamming technique to see if people will answer their phone.

Area code Brisbane. Don't live in Brisbane. Did not pick up and looked up number instead before deciding if I needed to call back.

They called me and said they were Vodafone Customer Care. Im not with Vodafone but even if I was it was clear they weren’t. Some kind of scam.

As soon as I answered I could hear all the foreign language jibber jibber in the background, then female came on the line and started speaking in ????. Of course politely told them to refrain from calling unless they can peak English.
