This is a scam. Called non my mobile just before midnight, an Asian male voice, unknown to myself. hung up instantly then block then and delete the number from your mobile contacts.

I used Call Assist and they hung up immediately. Most probably SPAM call.

I missed the call.. I called back later and it was disconnected. Which means a spam call

They called, I answered with “hello”. Long blank pause. Then indistinct background chatter before a female voice said “hello”. I waited quietly before she said “hello” a second time, which I replied with “hello?”. I was asked “does this phone number belong to <insert nickname here>”. I said “no” and she hung up.

Note, the nickname provided was in fact correct, but she doesn’t need to know that as it’s clearly not my legal name, so I presumed it was a scam as I’m NSW based and call supposedly came from a QLD number

Heavily accented man who said they were investigating a crypto company for fraud, and I'd come up on their data base as having had an account.
I hadn't, so didn't give any details and he eventually hung up.
Sadly, I have a friend who's repeatedly falling for scammer, and she's recently told me a fraud company was going to get her stolen finds back. 😭😭
