I am so sick of them they ring and starting telling you what they want and on and on about funeral insurance. I am so sick of it in fact I have funeral insurance policy and I am thinking of getting of out of it because also harass me by wanting to raise the payments each year. I think better for my famiy to throw me in the sea then have to put up with this constant harassment but now I have on the donotcall registrar. If they dare I will be putting in official complaint. 10 calls a week I get on both funeral and personal. I have lost it with them no niceness anymore. They make me want to thrown myself in the sea.

I had just received a phone call on my pre paid phone, a man from India, claims his name was Jason, from a company called OTPL, calling about funeral Insurance, I told him I already have cover, tried to talk over me, but I kept up the upper hand, started to ask him questions, like, how did you get my number, he claimed he got it from the white pages.. wrong answer, then I asked why is the number he was calling from an Australian number, no direct answer, then I asked for a web site for the company, went quiet, no answer. I know he is possibly trying to make a living to support himself and his family, but why play on others. The number I received on my phone was (03) 9001 8627. whenever I try to call it back, its engaged, or another time I tried it said it was not connected. Sorry Jason, but I do not wish to be snowed.

I have made some inquiries about these people. FYI everyone, the OTPL company is based in India but the funeral plans are from a company called Freedom Insurance in Australia. The phone number listed on their site is 1300 88 44 88. I personally am going to start calling these people and harassing them the same way that their stupid representatives in India have been doing to me. I would urge anyone else who is having the same problem to do the same and maybe the as#holes will realise just what sort of a pain in the a#s they are.

After saying hello half a dozen times eventually this character responded. I could barely understand him and hung up. This number has repeatedly been calling my home phone and they now won't speak. What is wrong with these wankers.

I have the same problem. they call me everyday. speak poorly in English with strong Indian accent. I tell them I am not interested. They called from different numbers: (07) 3177 3358, (07) 3177 3350 and others I didnt saved. so annoying!

Claim to be selling funeral insurance salesman. As if you would jump on board with some random cold caller!

Called me a couple of times but I missed the calls. Checked on the net and found some place called Umoja Phone who sell calling cards and have an office in Brisbane. Not sure what to make of this.

Continuously calling and hanging up

I have received several calls from this number and I am quite annoyed with them. They are calling from a company calling themselves OPTL or OTPL which they are trying to flog funeral insurance. I have told them to leave me alone, and have also requested my number be removed from their calling list, I have also threatened with a lawsuit for the excessive calls, even after telling them I am NOT interested. When/if you try to call the number back, it is "Not in service" which means these guys are Scammers/Fraudsters. Be careful and don't go with them!!
