Yes, they WILL PAY YOU for attending sessions. normally around $80 for 1.5hrs. What a**holes...

I worked for this company many years ago. They conduct telephone interviews for things like market research, election polls and customer satisfaction surveys. They also conduct paid focus groups and surveys.

The do-not-call register does not apply to organizations which are not selling anything, such as polling companies.

Pretty sure its Q&A who's pay you pretty good money to do survey.

It's a legit company who give you money to go to meetings and give your opinion on different things, companies, products etc. Good fun to be involved.

So, Sophie, if they don't keep record of your number, how do you explain that when I missed their first call, the called me back ten minutes later? If they call at random, that's quite coincidental.

Annoying. They ring and don't leave messages and hang up when you answer. I'm off to the Do Not Call Register to complain...again

I just had a call from 07 31198 015 7.48pm 22-8-12... I didnt answer it... no message left... I also had a call from 07 31198 000 about 2-3 hours ago... I answered that and it was definitly some sort of call center with lots of noise going on in the background but they haung up on me.... I am marking both numbers as scam do not answer... I have better things to do with my time.

Q&A Research, they have the worst reputation in the worst reputation inthe industry. Very dodgy company. Look them upand ring them up constantly and see how they like it.

These people have been calling me regularly for ages, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day, but usually when I'm out so I don't pick up their calls. Last weekend they rang twice on Saturday then again on Sunday morning before I was even out of bed. Needless to say I let it go to Voicemail, but they never leave a message.I'm also on the no call list.

I had three missed call from this number on my work phone. One on Friday night and two on Saturday afternoon. I suspect the reason people get so many calls, with no one on the other end, is because I've head some of these telemarketing companies use an automated computer system to call banks of numbers. They do this repeatedly to determine what time people are home to answer their phones. Then they would either sell the number (to another telemarketing firm) as a confirmed number with suggested times to call or call back themselves at those times with an actual operator on the line to sell you something or "survey" you as the loophole allows. Really annoying!

I have found out that this number is from a company called Q & A Market Research and according to the Do Not Call register Market research calls do not fall within the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 so long as they carry out standard questionnaire-based research or opinion polling. However, market research calls are subject to the Telecommunications (Do Not Call Register) (Telemarketing and Research Calls) Industry Standard (industry standard).

The direct contact number for their offices in QLD is (07) 3369 2299. I strongly suggest that if you want them to stop calling you bombard them with calls of complaint as they will hide under the fact they are market research.

I've been registered with Q&A Market Research in Brisbane since Feb this year. I don't answer numbers I don't recognise and sometimes they call from a with-held number - only recently have I gotten this number ID. They always leave messages with return numbers and they only ever call to query me on whether I want to be involved in a paid market research survey that I've expressed interest in via email. I only get a few calls every six months or so, but I never got calls before I registered, and noone I've spoken to from the company has ever had a problem with me saying 'no  thanks' outright.
