Told me my eBay account was about to be debited $199 for an iTunes gift card. Tried to get me to install Teamviewer Quicksupport on my phone. At that point I got suspicious and hung up.

I received the same automated call about my credit card being charged. I looked at the area code (07) and decided it was a scam. So, I reported it to ACCC.

this is a brisbane number operating out of a house rented by an Indian family trying to get you to call another number so you can authorize the purchase of ITune gift cards to the value of $199.99 this is of course a scam and once you tell them you are giving the number to the police, they hang up.

Called to tell me that my credit card was going to be debited for $199 for iTunes cards and to phone them on that number to stop it.
I knew it was a scam - I think they buy our mobile numbers from services that we provide our number to then they scam us.
Never give out info and if you think it is a scam don't call them - block them which is what I do.
We work hard for our money - the word scam should be changed to thief - they are thieves.

Claims someone hacked my eBay account to purchase iTunes cards. Says if I don't let them look into it, it'll cost me $199.... When I ask questions, they get very annoyed and keep trying to go back to their script. Have had a few calls, originating from call centres in (what sounds like) both Indonesia and India. Lots of background noise.

Scammers. dont answer. automatic recording in american accent saying they will be debiting 199.99 from my credit card and if i want to cancel the transaction to call a different (07) number. i called my bank immediately ant told them about it however nothing had been taken out of my credit card at that point. i suspect they wait to get a call using the other (07) number they provided and then get the credit card details in order to cancel it.
anyway have reported it also.

This is a total scam , the first time they called they asked for my details and to log into a link , I told them that I didn’t have an iTunes account and that I would contact eBay direct , she assured me ( Indian ) that she was legit and would lose her job if she wasn’t I mentioned the police and the conversation ended . On the second call I recognised the number didn’t answer got the recorded messaged returned the call again (Indian ) sounding woman and before she could say anything informed her that if I got a phone call again or any money was withdrawn from my account I was going straight to the federal police , I was replied with many ok , have to go’s please don’t succumb to these scumbags !!!
