I got call from this number claiming calling from ATO in Brisbane. I have doubt of possible scam.

I just received a call from this number as Australian Taxation Office saying my home number has been selected to receive $7000.
She gave me a reference number as well and told me to call them back after 15 mins.
He accent was Indian. I called back again, a guy picked up. Which was also indian accent.

mother f***ing Indians they call me as well ... i told them shut the f*** up you d*** head.. and told him send your mom to me .. and they hang up ... guys!! don't be stupid and there is no money for free.. and never do bank transfer, western union or money gram... there are so many frauds you can't believe.

I received the same call today.. caller ID said "forwarded call". saying I have won $7000 TAX free from US government. Obviously it was a scam. I don't understand why people think there is free money and are giving away their bank info. THERE IS NO FREE MONEY!!

I told the guy to call back in 30 min so that I can have all the info ready for him. Well the guy calls back and I asked him where he was calling from. He gave me some Washington address. I asked him where Washington was, he said America. I asked him west coast or east coast.. he said west cost!! LOL.. I was just messing with the guy. Then I said you're stupid to think that I am going to give you my bank info. He got mad and started saying all these things. And he said even Obama can't do anything to me.

I am in Indian. This is not an Indian accent. It's some Asian accent but definitley not Indian. I see that all you people who posted on here have indian name.. are these people targeting indians?

How are they getting our cell numbers?

I received a call on landline. person was not speaking very clearly claiming that he is calling from ATO and mentioned the same story as above comments. gave me the same number to call with reference number.

Same story here. :( we lost 250$.
