On ASIC site The Community was registered as charity in 1983. Today not in operation- is cancelled

Well spoken lady but not real confident saying she was fundraising for the needy all over Australia for an organisation called "The Community". She told me they are catering for the families and children who do not have money to feed their children... I asked whether she was local and which town she was calling from. She told me ...just outside Melbourne..... The phone number appears to be a Queensland number to me! Seems suspicious! Beware!
