just received a call from this number, a young lady with a thick indian accent. refused to identify business, and when i asked where they had got my mobile phone number from, more silence. i hung up.definitely dodgy.

Called yet again (I have already commented above).This time I had more luck asking questions.  Claimed to be of 'Startle communications' though, I had to get him to repeat that four times, so it could be wrong.  Said it was a telephone dealer in sydney.They were trying to tell me my contract was going to expire very soon.  He could offer me my same phone number (so charitable of him!) for a good price and wanted to ask how much I'm paying now.  I didn't think to ask if he knew my name.  Doh!I told him to make sure I wasn't called again - no good.  I told him to put me on their Do Not Call list (three times) he claimed not to have one.   I asked to speak to his supervisor....  end of call.A**holes.

this guy called me also. same spiel - claiming to be from Optus reseller telling me my phone contract is ending soon - it is not. Very evasive when I asked questions - gave his name as Rob Lee. Asked him not to call my number and hung up... now get this he calls back again. so I told him I would lodge a complaint with Optus - to which he replies "and what are they gonna do about it?"... the arrogant SOBfrom comments above, obviously not an optus reseller...

This number has called four times now, I have answered once.  I asked them 'which company are you from' clearly as soon as I got a chance.  I hung up when they answered with a very non-specific 'telephone provider'.  The accent was so thick I didn't understand most of what they said.  I'm with Optus, but have already told them to (hopefully) never call or text me.

had a guy call changed his name two times on me cause i wouldnt give my name to him, then when i found this web site and called back the names that he gave me, i asked if i could speak to them and the guy said that there is no one here with those names. (Mark and Steve)

same deal as all the others, telling me my contract is expiring...somehow knew my first name though, which is concerning..as soon as i said that i was on a business plan, they hung up...
