just received a call from this number, a young lady with a thick indian accent. refused to identify business, and when i asked where they had got my mobile phone number from, more silence. i hung up.

same deal as all the others, telling me my contract is expiring...somehow knew my first name though, which is concerning..
as soon as i said that i was on a business plan, they hung up...

They also called me today. I kept asking who he was, what company he was from, all he told me was he is from a 'telephone company' and 'Optus reseller'.Told him that he doesn't know what he's talking about, I still have a whole year on my contract. He said thanks and hung up.Don't give them any info; they ask how much you spend a month, etc.

Got a call from this number yesterday claiming to be from Optus telling me my phone contract is ending soon. They wanted to ask me how much I'm paying and wanted to sell me a better contract. I stumped them after saying "if you're from Optus then you can tell me how much I'm paying already". I have an iPhone that isn't expiring for another year so it's all a load of crap.

I recieved 6 calls from this number today, the guy with a thick accent proceded to tell me I was an Optus customer and my contract was about to expire. I explained I was not with Optus and he continued to argue the point about it. He said he was with Startel Communications. He called back 5 times, each time I told him not to call back.
