I had a call from this number and a man with an accent introduced himself as "Mike". When I asked who he was he rattled off a company name and I was also told someone in my house had been in a car accident either this year or last year. I asked him what my name was and he said he didn't know he got my number of the NRMA. I said who was in the accident he said he didn't know. I asked what the rego number was of the car he again said he didn't know all he had was my number. I gave him a piece of my mind and hung up. These guys should be stopped.

Called it back had the McGyver music playing then it hung up. Obvious a scam.

Rang this number back and got music. The "do not call" register does not stop people from calling you. It is a voluntary system for people/businesses to be made aware that you do not want unsolicited calls from them. Idiots, like this one, can still call. Even if you have an unlisted/silent number you still may received randomly made calls from other idiots.

I got a call from this guy claiming to be from an insurance claims department. When I rang back I just got music on the line.

Irish female left a message saying that there was a tax evasion or tax fraud claim against my name and to call (03) 6107 9623 to make sure it doesn't get downloaded to a local commonwealth courthouse, haha, scam!

A person with an Indian accent called me wanting to know if I had solar panels installed on my house. I asked why he wanted to know and he started telling my about a government rebate payable to home owners that installed solar.

I continued to query him about why he was interested in a government rebate to me he tried to avoid the question before eventually hanging up.

This is the third call this week and it always seems to be between 7:00 - 8:00pm, they're becoming serial pests.

Same here, douche bag scammer. Auto-recording too. Rang back just to have a laugh and found out I was in a chopper with TC and Magnum :-)

It rang at 9:30 pm bloody annoying, it was blank, and then a recorded voice saying "goodbye". glad I was able to search and find others know about the number :) a nuisance

Have been called twice in 2 days from this number from a female claiming to be from the Telstra Technical department regarding the Internet. She kept saying "Can you hear me" - to which I replied "Yes I can hear you, but I can't understand a word you are saying" so she hung up. The second time I told her I don't have internet with Telstra and hung up.

This number called every direct line we have in our office today (approx 30) i spoke to a lady who stated someone had a car accident. She then asked if I was calling from a business, the reply she was given was she called she should know if it was a business or not. She spoke to other persons in the office some said they were Federal Police and they hung up straight away.

Same number, different scam attempt. Mine was from a woman from Telstra BigPond, about a problem with my internet connection! It seems the do not call register is useless, as I'm on it but get unwanted calls several times a day.

These serial pests have called twice this week. Claiming to be from Telstra Bigpond. Indian accent, sounded like a busy call centre.
Got very defensive when I asked what number he had called and who he wanted to speak to. Hung up when I demanded an answer.

Someone named David called from this number saying he was from internet security and that he had sent me a email last night, told him I had not received his email, he called me a liar then hung up !! charming fellow .

More scam calls from this number. Telstra internet support this time.

Yes this number has called again - gee how can we stop it. Only time the phone rings it seems to be them!

They called me at 10:15pm AEST and silence so I hung up. Waited 10 mins and called back to get music but that was all. Waited for a few seconds and hung up.

Got 2 calls in today within an hour. First time I answered in my "tired male" voice, silence & then an automated "goodbye"...click!!!
Second time, I was a bit meek sounding & 'Chistian'wanted to help me rid my non-existent PC of all viruses. Interestingly as I watched the cricket Christian tried to sell me a pack of virusware that would suit my PC considering the type of viruses I had. I said "well, considering I'm sitting in a squad car...I doubt it"! He laughed before saying "oh f*ck" & hung up! Enjoyed that one. It still sh*ts me that they have MY NUMBER.
