Not so sure about this mob. They rang me claiming to be market research, but in among the questions were whether I lived alone (specifically that, not "how many people live at that address?"), whether I had a dog, whether I had electronic goods or jewellery on the premises and how much per month I spent on movies and music, and then they asked whether I wanted to be on their mailing list for other surveys, which would have required my handing over my street address as well. Could be straight-up, but could also be phishing for premises to rob. Caller ID was blank; they gave me this number quoted here, but that doesn't mean that was where they were calling from. I regard this as suspicious.

Answered a call from this number and they hung up as soon as I answered. I could hear people talking in the background and it sounded like it might be a call centre. Very frustrating!

Repeated calls to my phone picked up by my answering machine. Several a day. My number is private and I am on the "Do Not Call Register". No message left. Called back and got a recorded message. Left a message that I am fed up with their nuisance calls and am going to report. ( question is. . . . who to??)

Had repeated missed calls from this number. Finally managed to answer the call today - it was a market research company (I forget the name) following up on behalf of my previous health provider to find out reasons why I had changed provider. Were quite friendly and gave me the option of whether I wanted to do the survey or not.Pretty harmless it would seem.

Have received at least 4 calls to my mobile in the past 24 hours from this number. Phone only rings once or twice making it virtually impossible to get to the call before it stops ringing. Is it a scam? May be buying huge numbers of bulk calls from telstra at a discount rate & be copping a percentage of the 'return calls'. I have a feeling that the ploy is to try to coerce the receiver (you) into making a return call, taking advantage of your natural curiousity. I did in fact call the number, moments after receiving one, and my call went directly to a nondescript message bank. I definately reckon that this is a deliberate scam.

They called me back at 12pm and I spoke to their supervisor - she was called Rose I think. They are a legitimate market research company that do surveys for the Government - I did participate in a travel survey about 2 years ago and have asked them to stop calling me but it falls on deaf ears. Hopefully now I will be finally removed from their database. I explained politely, that 9am on a Saturday morning is incredibly intrusive for some people - I'm a shift-worker - and they NEVER leave a message. Also could hear the initial telemarketer in the background saying 'this one is swearing!' Well, not surprising when you've only had 3 hours sleep!

Had a call Wed,18th May at 5.50pm.My home phone logged the call. Deleting old info from phone and curiosity got the better of me.....called the number and got a short sharp message that no-one was available to take call.
