I received a missed call from this number and returned the call; they identified themselves as being from compare the market. I spent about 1hr and a half talking through health insurance options and she definitely sounded legitimate and understood all the policy options. I had asked to think about it but she kept pushing and then i just agreed to switch policies. She started with obtaining my medicare card details but then asked me to provide bank account details. That's when I said no, i can't provide bank account details over the phone. I asked her to send me an email with the policy link and that I would pay directly to the provider. She asked to stay on the phone while I waited for an email that never came. I then asked her to call me back because email did not come through (still has not a day later). I looked up this phone number and cannot see it linked to comparethemarket
Yes I had entered a search through compare the market in past week. I am suspicious now and still unsure if this is legitimate representative of compare the market.
