Caller: Someone claiming to be from eBay I received a call from someone claiming to be from eBay. They called from (07) 2113 2441.
A woman with a heavy Indian accent said that someone in California was trying to purchase a gift card for $99, and that they knew I lived in Australia, so would I like to cancel the transaction? I said yes. I was logged onto my eBay account and could see no such suspicious orders.
She asked which browser I used. I said "Microsoft Edge". She asked me to go to the website "findmyID".
That's when I asked her:- "If you are from eBay, what is my eBay ID?" She said for security, she could not tell me. I said "Ok, so what is my name? You have my number, so you will have my name."
She said "Don't you even know your own name?" to which I said, "Of course I do, but I'm seeing if you do."
Then she hung up.

Claimed to be Optus with a discount for me for being a loyal customer. I was at work so said to call back. Called the number, "mailbox is full", blocked the number. Then four more scam numbers called me after business hours! Relentless. Be careful.

Call stated Brisbane, Australia. It was an automated message saying someone was trying to purchase from my e-bay account to the sum of $299 and that it would be a repeated amount..It then stated to press 1 to cancel. I don’t have an e-bay account! I hung up.
