Answered the call as they have been calling for weeks. Asked what they wanted and the reply was I want you to die. Then he hung up

When I asked who was calling - they hung up and haven’t called back

The caller said they were from the Brisbane city council. They asked for my age, the combined income of my household, my marital status and whether I was working full time and my postcode.

The justification was about improving the suburb I live in. Obviously not legit, but I am not sure what this could be used for except marketing purposes?

Pretending to be Ausralian Bureau of Statistics and hung up on me when I refused to answer questions

Called my mobile number several times, when I answered they had a strong accent and said they were from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Asked me “have you travelled overseas in the last 10 years and where did you travel to ?” I said “I don’t have to answer that”…they hung up immediately.
Obviously scamming. They knew my full name and phone number. I rang the number back, a recorded message said the number was disconnected.

I rang back and said the mobile number is switched off. Blocked.

Says they are from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. They hang up when I question if the call is legit. Scammers. Have called about 4 times in the past few days.

The woman caller with a very strong accent hung up when I asked her where she was calling from.

rang my mobile - and I answered, but no-one replied, they disconnected after about 20 secs. A very similar number has called 30/6 and 2/7/21 - (07) 2111 8693 - the number format looks very suspicious

They call you and say they are from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. I was lucky because they used my nickname and not my real name. When I said I don't believe you are from the ABS they hung up immediately.
