Caller: Scammers

I received a call from this number and while it was ringing I searched the number read it was a scammer claiming to be from the "Australian Bureau of Statistics". I answered the call and the operator said they were from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and I said no your not. He said come again. I said you do not work from them and he immediately hung up. The phone number is not even valid for the 07 region. Heard the usual call center noises in the background from the streets of india and delayed/poor call quality. If only I could find these scammer f#ck$.

Scam caller

Unsolicited caller rang 4.25pm Friday 23 July 2021 and did not leave any message.
Number blocked and reported.

caller said he was from ABS with census questions, used my first name. But when his first question was my age range, I asked him how this was related to the census and he immediately hung up.

Claimed to be from the ABS wanting information. I have already completed my census so said that and hung up.

Just received call on this number stating from ABS - yes Indian person and yes background call centre noise and delay.
Number looked suspicious and when you call it back the call fails to connect. I said I don’t believe you and hung up - I have now blocked the number.

It was a female scammer with Indian accented English claiming to be from the "Australian Bureau of Statistics". The phone number is not even valid for the 07 region as per feedback from someone else below. Blocked.

Caller: Allegedly ABS

Statistic collection but asking personal details such as income and work status.

Picked up, delay answering, person just said hello and then hung up.

rang back, call failed; blocked yet another one

Caller: Scammer pretending to be the Australian Bureau of Statistics

Said they were from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Asked for my age, whether I was a home owner, renter, or if I lived with my parents. Sounded dodgy so gave false answers. Clearly a scam (or ABS has shocking customer service!) as they ended the call the second I answered their last question.

No message left so obviously marketing
