No one speaks on the other side. Noisy background. Hang up in just 5 seconds. I assume it is a scam call.

Caller: Scam

Most definitely a scam - called me, after I picked up, they dropped the line. I called back, a man with an Indian accent introduced himself as 'Ben', mumbled the name of his "business". When I asked to repeat the "business" name, dropped the call.

They have called me two days in a row. The number shows up as a Brisbane phone number, however it sounds like a noisy call centre in background. The first call was a lady with Indian accent that asked if I was a home owner. The second call was from a male, Indian accent, and when I asked who is this, he sarcastically sang “…(unintelligible)..cleaning company “.

Caller: SCAM: Heater and aircon cleaning company

A Indian man called to say they wanted to clean our aircon and heating systems. I asked if it was a cold call and they were incredibly rude and said does it sound like a cold call. They then said they couldn’t tell me who passed on my details. I said I would be calling the police. Beware they are scammers!!!

Claiming to be from some type of cleaning company. I told him i was on the do not call register and what he is doing is illegal. He replied "oh ok" and hung up.

He rang my landline and asked if it was Mrs (my last name). He said he was from an air conditioning cleaning company and they had technicians in the area. It was something I needed to organise and I asked him to repeat the company name so I could look into it. I didn’t quite catch the business name. He rang back again within a short period and I said I still didn’t know my availability. He seemed very keen for me to commit to a time . He then rang my mobile number and said hi (my first name) and again wanted me to schedule an appointment. I hadn’t given my name on any of the calls. Number now blocked. He seemed very impatient and overly familiar at the same time.

Very strong accent, called offering a discount on services for heating or cooling units, & that they had a technician in my area (not that he asked where I live). When I asked where they got my number he said from the residential (something I didn’t hear) database… whatever the hell that is. Told him to take my number off his list, then hung up & blocked the number.

Allegedly a cleaning company, but I highly doubt it.

As in one of the other posts, called about air conditioning cleaning. Claimed to represent a Melbourne company. I checked the website and they don't service Qld as far as I could make out. He was persistent. I told him I didn't want to proceed because I didn't know anything about him, and especially as the call was unsolicited. At some point I said to him, "you had better not be a scammer!" And this was the clincher when he started calling me a MF and getting heated as he hung up the phone.

Indian accented guy didn’t like my tone when I answered the call. He was cranky at my rudeness and when I asked what he wanted he said ‘nothing now’ and ended the call.

Called about "Air Conditioning cleaning", very noisy background so i could barely hear him. He knew my name though wich was annoying. He tried getting info out of me but got flustered when I asked who he spoke to at our real estate agency. I then said "good try" and hung up.

Kept asking if I was the homeowner.
Wouldn't say where he was from. Claimed he didn't know what I meant when I said he'd called a Government mobile.

Really creepy call from this number. When I called back the person knew my name and made a comment of always wanting to talk to someone with my name. When I asked how I can help him, he said "nothing, I just wanted to say hello to you, and now goodbye" and hung up
