Someone (Lachlan from PH Group) called pretending to know the owner (even knew owner name) saying that they talked a few months back and wanted to touch base again. The caller (Lachlan) repeatedly said he knew owner, which is not true

Same as the other comments here - very confident & asked to speak to my manager by name. When I asked if he was expecting the call, he said his colleague had sent an email & was following up on it. Knew it was rubbish. Time wasters.

Some guy called Lachlan called asking to speak to the director of our company, used his name as though he knew him personally and claimed to know mutual business colleagues and named them specifically too. Hung up when we went to transfer him. Googled the number and found many others had recorded the same experience = he is a scammer !!

Asked for one of the directors (me being the other) and said it was in reference to an email he sent. Told him that all emails go through me and he seemed confused, asked him what email address he had, it was the correct one. Would not tell me what it was in reference to as he said it was something being discussed with the other director. Kept saying all good I will send another email and call back. Reminded him other director is not office during business hours but did not seem to want to give up.

Called the business line asking for the owner of the company. I asked to take a message and if he had been in contact before, he said one of his colleagues had been in touch by email previously. we have no idea who this company are. but they're taking time up on our business line - I missed a call from a client while taking a call from this guy, time waster.

Called about an email from late last year sent to the director. Told him I was the business manager and to forward to me so I could assist as director is unavailable. Hung up on me.

Lachlan called, very confident in requesting to talk directly to the MD. Said it was in relation to a woollen mill (we sell fabrics). Did not forward call to the MD.

Calls every few weeks asking for owner's name (which he knows). Claims to know their mobile number but never calls it. Claims to be 'Lachlan Pilgram' of 'PHM Group' and wants to talk about something related to our business. Scam calling / marketing / advertising.

Same here. Boss doesn't know him from a bar of soap!!. Said something about he was working with Surdex Steel.
