I think it's a scam. They called my (male) partner's number. Did not ask to speak to anyone in particular when I (female) answered and straight away said they were calling in regards to the car crash (I)??? had 12 months ago. I said I had not had any car crashes within that time and the caller hung up immediately without another word.

Same as the others Car accident, and I said I had an accident recently played along with them for a bit. He said that the other party were wanting damages for injuries. I said I do not need a doctor, and that I love my new ant farm and I have an something stuck in my toothbrush not sure what it is.

Soon enough he got the hint and hung up. But at least I wasted an extra 30 seconds of his time.

Caller: "Follow Up Services"

Called me for the 4th time within the last month, saying they are from follow up services about a car crash I was involved in. I told them I have already had several calls and asked them to stop. The guy (he said his name was Liam Lynch) became extremely abusive and said he got my information from data housing such as online shopping. I asked if he got my information from online shopping, how would he know if I have been in a crash.. He couldnt answer and said that its my fault that I haven't been careful with where I put my personal information and that he is going to continue contacting me.. This is 100% a scam.

Caller: Claim to be calling on behalf of CTP

Received a call asking if I was in an accident in the last 12 months that wasn't my fault, they told me I would be entitled to a "discomfort" insurance. I asked what the name of the company was so I could google it and was simply told "Compulsory Third Party" or "CTP" I asked for more information as googling this would not provide me information, and was told they were calling on behalf of them but he could not provide me a full company name, employer name or ABN and also had none of my information on record. Definitely a scam.

Said they were CTP and were calling about the accident. I had not had an accident so knew straight away it was a scam and said so. He desperately tried to keep me on the line as I had returned the missed call saying no no it is true. Now I maybe old but I’m pretty sure dementia hasn’t set in yet and I’m quite sure a car accident wasn’t on my bucket list this past two months. Anyway I hung up on him after having a very rapid struggle with my conscience about good manners.😊
