this number sent a text saying get tracking details now, for a package I've never heard about. big scam

Received txt msg say my parcel is pending get tracking details now. I’m not waiting for a package at the moment. So I figured it’s a scam.

SMS re payment for delivery.
It's a scam.
Webpage was some user account, not Australia post.

Caller: Pretending to be courier

Gave me a link to click on for a package track and trace...well dodgy. after coming here I am glad I didn't click on it. The last time it happened like this I got ransomware and lost over 90 GB of saved teaching resources over the last 25 years. Had to reformat my computer, or pay 1000 bucks to access my files.
Not cool.

Interestingly, the name used to address me is a nickname from my FB account. Dont know how they got that and associated with my phone.

SMS this morning “We called xxxxxxxxxx, but you did not answer! The giveaway from JB-HIFI will expire today. Please claim now:” followed by a link. Didn’t click, seemed suss straight away cos all emails I receive from them are from JB Hi-Fi.

Received a text with a link saying a JB-HIFI giveaway expires today!
(Have not been to JB-HIFI for a long time).

Message saying they called my number and I didn't answer. The giveaway from JB-HIFI will expire, click to claim. Nothing to do with me.
