Caller: Scammers Called saying the it was Telstra offering 50% off my bills. I don’t even have Telstra services… when they tried to verify my email I didn’t answer their question and asked what service they were referring to within Telstra… the lady asked if I wanted the 50% and proceeded to tell me my email address and that my account wasn’t active but she can remove my account and its details so I don’t get telemarketing calls anymore. I just had to let her know my pin that she had requested for her to remove my account. Low and be hold my phone dings and my password app alerts me that I am requesting a sign into account, my Microsoft account. I said to her I am driving call back another time, she insisted she wants to help me and save me hassle in the future, told me her manager will get it done fast and that she is transferring me now. Another lady picks up the call and I play along, again this lady is just asking for the pin to remove my account from Telstra network. I asked her what does my Microsoft account has to do with Telstra… I asked her do you think I’m stupid, she raises her voice and again tells me she is very busy and if I don’t want my account removed and stop the phone calls from coming then she needs the PIN number for that she again sent to my phone. Asking me if my phone number was xxxx I said no, asks me to verify my email, and runs it off. I said no that’s not my email. She said are you such and such and I said no. Then her tone changes and she says you’re lying. I said no you are lying. And I sternly said with a raised voice, what the hell does my Microsoft account have to do with a pretend Telstra account, that pin is for ME to access MY account not for you… The manager said again, stop wasting my time and read me the pin. I said what pin. I don’t have a pin. She said I’ll send it again. Another sign in request comes through. I laughed and she said what’s so funny. I asked her, are you having fun yet? And then phone hung up! lol. What a moron! Then I thought some poor person is going to fall for this and they will have access to their Microsoft suite. DONT GIVE ANYONE ANYTHING THEY DONT ALREADY HAVE, DONT VERIFY ANYTHING. CALL BACK IF SUSPICIOUS PLEASE DONT FALL FOR IT! By the way the First Lady sounded Asian and the second Indian but spoke good English.
