Definitely credit card scammer, very sophistcated calls to be AMEX Fraud, will ask you for details to verify you but will not provide details to verify themselves. They ask for date of birth to start with after a debate of me trying to get them to verify themselves I caved in and provided last 5 digits of card number and post code. Put you on hold (while they call AMEX to get your credit card balance), return to you and let you know your credit card balance to 'prove' they are from AMEX. I obviously got done by them

they quoted my email, home address and had my phone number stating someone is trying to open an AMEX account with these details and they thought I was a victim of identity theft. I asked for a number to call them back on and they would not give it saying I can google the number but in the meantime they put my through to their 'business team' to help with my identity theft. I hung up.
