EBay scam to download an app

Caller: Scammers pretending to be from eBay

I received a call from this number, computer voice said there is a purchase on my eBay account, to approve press 1, to cancel 2, to talk to an agent press 9.
So I press 9 and spoke to a guy, he said the amount and the item purchased. I told him that I didn't purchase. Then he said he will give me a code, and asked me to download an APP. Then I said are you a scammer, the phone went dead...
