Called from this mobile number and asked if I was .... (my full name) and quoted my correct email address, then asked if I had made transactions to the value of $600 on Amazon and $400 on ebay using my Visa Mastercard. I told the male caller no I hadn't and he asked if wanted the card frozen until further investigation. I asked for more details; where he was from, bank, call centre location, what happens after he freezes account etc. He did quote the last 4 digits of my card which were correct but he asked me for the rest of the numbers. I hung up shortly after. The male caller was foreign and was difficult to understand. Once off the phone I went into my banking apps and placed a temporary hold on my cards, and from what I could see there were no transactions made.
