The message said it was St George autofinance. I am pretty sure it is a scam. I do have a car lease expiring in the next few months but I usually deal directly with the leasing company and not their financiers or insurers.

I got a text saying the below ;
Thank you for your commitment to pay $50.00 once commencing 31/07/2024, continuing until the balance has been paid in full for the account reference: 40130170546 BPAY: Billpay Code 51987, Ref 2620 6901 0301 7054 8.

This number messaged me saying it was Srgeorge with oppertunity to finalise Stgeorge account with a 50 percent discount .
