Caller: Allegedly Microsoft about my virus infected computer

I believe that the Indian caller was a scammer as I told him before hanging up after some colourful language.
Earlier I had a popup on my tablet after clicking on an article saying I had just been infected.
It said don't turn off don't go back I risk losing all of my data blah blah blah.
So after going back and turning off everything was sweet. A couple of hours later this moron calls to repeat the same garbage.
