called and claim he is a renter and want to rent my property. Ask where he got my number claim got it from a friend cant even name.

Caller: a man who speaks mandarin (sounds like someone from China by the accent)

He called, said my name correctly; said he's xxx (which happens to be one of my uni lecturers). However, the signal of the call was bad, and eventually the call ended. He talked to me in Mandarin too which is super weird. Already confirmed with my lecturer, it's a scam. I just want to know how he got both my name and my teacher's name right????

Called me, said my name correctly, and said he's xxx, (which is exactly what my uni lecturer is called). However, the signal got bad, and the phone call started having a glitch, and then the call ended itself. Have absolutely no idea how he got my name and uni lecturer's name correctly. He spoke to me in Mandarin too.

Definitely is scam, the person speak mandarin, i hang up

I'm sure this was a scam call regarding my electricity account. I hung up on him (Indian accent).
