Caller: I don't know Scam number, tells you to try connect you to some website, would not recommend answering. I purposely answered because I work in IT so I made sure they couldn't do anything suspicious (by not letting them connect to my computer) and ending the call before that to waste their time. I was getting dressed and styling my hair so I just wasted their time while I was doing my own sh*t.
Claimed they were NBN and would give me "free upgrade". NBN cannot upgrade your network's speed, you'd have to contact your service provider (like Telstra) etc. Also Telstra would call you, and verify your details not go straight into "let me upgrade you for free"

Caller: Claimed to be Telstra billing Told me Telstra is rewarding me for being a loyal customer and will be giving me 6 months of half price bills. They said they will send me a code I have to give them to my mobile - the code that was sent was a Microsoft reset password six digit code. Absolutely do not give this code when asked! It is a password used to reset your email password. They are trying to steal access to your email accounts.

Claimed to be from telstra saying my account was eligible for 50%off for next 6 months. wanted me to confirm my email address to which telstra were emailing me through. I said No. Very persistent and kept wanting me to confirm by him spelling it out incorrectly. Think he wanted me to correct him for possible voice recognition... not sure. I hung up in the end
