Message reads "Hi mum/dad, my touchscreen doesn't respond anymore... Can you send me a text through what's app? This is my new number"

Didn't realise I (a 24 year old girl) was both a Mum AND Dad to a long lost child that can type and uses what's app? I don't think I know ANYONE that uses what's app lol

pretending to be my child! asking me to whatsapp on that number. Scam Bug

Got the same message today saying lost my phone and message through WhatsApp and my son is in the same room, scam

I just got the same and my child has their phone

It is definitely a SCAM - child's lost phone....bastards

Got same message as you all today, "hi mum i've lost my phone...etc" . Seeing as i am a male only needed to read first 2 words to know it was a scam

Same as the above so have blocked caller and warned friends. Calling back just brings up a scam warning saying its been reported.

Hi Mum, I've lost my phone etc etc. Much the same words as the other reports on this site.

Block and delete it, call your actual child to see if it’s them.
