A man with an Indian accent who said he was from Legal Assist and wanted to discuss the motor vehicle accident I'd had in the last 2 years. I said "I don't know where you got my number from but this is a scam". He said "It's not a scam. Have I asked you for any money?". I replied "No but I bet you're about to. So please take my number off your list" and hung up.

had two calls from this number this afternoon , left no message, thanks for your help guys after googling the number have now blocked yet another number.

Actually called my work landline. Started off by asking me about my day then proceeded to try and ruin it by saying they are calling from Legal Assist because I have been in an accident. I told them you have called a business and to piss off. He then stuttered, said sorry and I hung up.

never answer this number when it rings did today as previously said you were in a accident. Ha ha was i? told them where to go and hung up.

Called on my work mobile, the number was from within Australia so I picked it up. Bloke tried to tell me they'd received information that I'd had an accident and they wanted to verify that I qualified for compensation. Very fast talking, attempted to plough through and ask me a million questions. Didn't like it when I kept asking why they were calling me, that I had NOT had an accident, and I called bullsh*t and hung up.

Seems to be a scam. Funny answering machine which does not make sense.

These a**holes have been trying this with me on a weekly basis. If you do not stop i will track you down and seek compensation for harrassment.

Lady kept saying Hello! I answered her with a Hello, she then used my name before she hung up. Very Strange, which is why i googled the number.

Just received a phone from this number claiming to be from legal assist and my mobile number was given them because I had been in a recent work place accident. When I asked for her work number so I could call back at more convenient time, she asked why, that's when the fun started. I said I wanted to verify the company as she was asking for personal details that I wasn't going to give out freely. She very quickly hung up the phone. Good bye :)

Indian insurance scam still active 25 July 2019. When I pretended that the call hadn't connected on my mobile they immediately rang back using (02) 8003 3393 - now both numbers are blocked.

this number is a scam, stated i had had an accident in the last 2 years, when i told him i wasnt interested he hung up after someone in the background said hangup

Unsolicited call that rang for only a few seconds before hanging up. no voicemail message left.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I have been getting calls from this number and it is always an Indian guy on the other line. But each time I hear an unfamiliar voice I would always cut him off and say I’m at work and could not speak to him if not urgent and then I’ll end the call. Now I know what those calls are all about. This is quite annoying, time wasters & scammers!
