This is so dodgy. Once you fill out all the information on their website the last stage says the site is is finding the information then a message comes up saying that there was an error and try again. Then the screen goes blank and your phone rings. They do this so that they speak to you and do the sales pitch over the phone.

Was comparing electricity and gas bills, and within 10-15mins they called. It has been three days and they have called me around 8-10 times. I have not answered these calls once, and they still continue to call me. It is honestly becoming annoying now. Wouldn't they get the idea that I am not interested if I don't answer, especially after 8-10 missed calls? I am really, it is honestly ridiculous!

Why oh why do they not leave a message? I am busy but will not ring the number back in view of all the scams operating. When will they bloody learn.......

"Compare the market" ? called (from what I gather from other comments) - Had answering machine on and my query was not even finished or submitted yet!!

After reading the comments I would agree that this is Compare the Market because I recently compared power companies too. I haven't answered any calls because they don't leave voicemails

Phone me at least 5 times a day. Never leave a message and when I answer they hang up as soon as I say 'hello'. Have now blocked the number. Delete and block if you receive any calls from this number!

Compare the market...they will call you if you leave any details on their website.
They have tried me twice using different landline numbers and now have started using this mobile number!

calls from Compare the Market. But call rang for 2 seconds then stopped so i didn't speak to anyone. was enquiring about electricity company comparisons.

Same. called within seconds of me using the Compare the market sight. stupid me told them my details. will we never learn.

I never submitted my number. Never heard of them before. Still they rang me numerous times, although I never picked up. Very annoying. Now blocked.

from comments I'm assuming compare the market. but they only call if you submit your number when comparing. therefore it can't be spam because you intentionally provide it. if you do not want a call submit a fake number

As soon as I completed the comparison for electricity companies on Compare the Market website, they phoned and now won't stop ringing! Just wanted to compare online, not receive phone calls!

Used "compared the market" to compare electricity companies. Got the call. A short noise of human wheezing. Then they hung up.

I used compare the market for insurance, have got 2 x calls from this number per day since. When I picked up once there was a second of office/call center noise then they hung up. Blocked.
