They called knew my name, also weridly knew mh farthers name asked i declined everything said they need to speak to my father i dont know who that is, also asked what company they were calling from, the couldnt give me any answers on who they were or what they want.... think there credential haversting or just trying to catch people out with paying back loans

Caller: Scam about a loan

Guy called, knew my name and said he was calling in relation to a previous loan of mine - could barely understand him. He asked my date of birth so I hung up. He then called my friend from the same number and asked about me which is particularly concerning.

Missed a call from this number, hid my number and called them back. Spoke to a Niko. EXTREMELY DODGY! I asked what company they were calling from and he wouldn't help me unless I gave him my phone number and said he can't divulge that information. I asked the nature of the call, again he said he can't divulge that information. Very dodgy - do not answer!!!

Caller: I don’t know

Received call asking if I was my name (foolishly said yes) and then if I knew another first name with my surname (and I doubled down stupidly and said no), caller said thanks and hung up and that’s when the penny dropped and I felt sick. Called back and got a different person who when I put what had just happened said he had no record of me being called. I then asked what the nature of his business was and he said he cannot tell me due to privacy. I will be reporting this incident to the police.
