Amnesty do call for donations, I'm guessing if you sign a petition. I'd already added one number of theirs to my "don't answer" list - looks like this is another one :-(

Judging based on these other comments, I kept getting calls at random hours, latest being 7pm. Going to block now that I've seen this thread.

Had 8 calls from this number in the past 2 weeks.I answered none of them.

Donate? Isn't your money to the RSPCA just to insure your pet?

Spoke about deforestation and the new koala sanctuary area that has been passed for NSW. Wanting donations

Missed no message call at first. 2nd time it was an English man I didn't know trying to chat me up and thanking me for signing a petition. I never sign petitions or buy raffle tickets. I could tell he was working his way towards getting me to donate money so I cut the conversation short with a curt GOODBYE.

Charity. They called 3 times today. Most recent one being 6pm!

I got 7 calls from them in April. Sometimes they called twice a day. They never leave a message. I never took this call so I am unaware who's on the other end

Started off with, "Is this 'my name'? " and asked how I was doing etc. British guy, sounds like a nice guy. Thanked for sighing the petition and then explained about the charity and whats happening in gaza, then asked for $10 donation etc.
Felt a bit weird so hung up and did not give any information. Seemed a bit off so glad I hung up. Blocked now.

Answered cause I thought it might be my delivery as I was expecting it. Thank you'd for my petition for Amnesty International. Told me about what the organization does and also talked about Gaza. They said they dont get donations from government etc but then asked for a donation of $10. I said I needed to look it up as I don't remember signing a petition and dont feel comfortable and ended the call.
Checked this site and seen a few other people saying the same thing so glad I didn't continue and give any other information. Feels a bit scammy.

I use a fake name on the websites I deem “risky” or “unsafe”. Called me asking “is this ——?” I said “no?” “Oh.. do you know a ——?” And I said “um.. no..”. She awkwardly said “oh okay, it’s the wrong number then. Bye”. 1000% a scam phone number,
DO NOT donate or pay them any money. You might as well shove it down the drain.
