They didn't leave a message. When I saw on Reverseaustralia that it was Mater Lotteries, I phoned Mater to complain as I have previously insisted I be taken off their marketing lists. Rather than apologising, they insultingly said it was my fault for using a different email address the last time I donated (even though it was the same phone number, which I'd told them not to abuse). I previously stopped donating to Mater and due to their pushy marketing tactics (pestering phone calls, aggressive 'chuggers' accosting me in shopping centres). After several years, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and made another donation - and the solicitation promptly starts again 😟 I won't make that mistake again. No matter how good the work they do, I will not support any charity that pesters me like this or treats me so disrespectfully when I object.

I totally regret ever talking to these people, they CONSTANTLY call. I block them every time and they just call on a different number. I've had at least 30 calls all on various numbers despite telling them to take me off their call register!

Rang for 18sec then stopped, not answered.

I’ve purchased tickets over the years , but never been harassed like I have been the last 12 months . I tell them “every time they phone me , I ban myself from buying tickets from them for 6 months “

To date : they’re on a 3 and a 1/2 year exclusion . ( saving me money )

Number showed up on my phone as a "Smart ID" identifying the caller as "Thomas Direct". Upon answering it was a caller from Mater Lotteries. Obviously Mater Lotteries have grown to an extent that they have obviously outsourced their call centre. My concern is the foreign sounding caller may not have been in Australia and I'm wondering if my information is now off shore.

Ring Mater to complain and tell them you won't donate to any charity that pesters you. This is how I managed to get them to stop the incessant marketing in the past.

Phone calls but even if I answered why would I give my credit details to someone claiming to be Mater - ignore anyone asking for credit cards details

Didn't answer and no message left. Reading the other comments, I'm glad I didn't answer and will now block number. I've had Mater lotteries call me before and already told them I get their emails and only purchase when I want to.

Mater kept sending me postage and because we live out of town and only have a P.O. Box I was really annoyed to drive all the way into town and find that the mail was from Mater. I sent them an email and they have stopped the postage, but are still phoning me. I’ll have to complain again.

This company just doesn't know how to stop harassing people, bought tickets once and have been harassed nonstop - DO NOT REGISTER OR BUY TICKES FOR MATER LOTTERIES AS PHONE CALLS WILL BE NONSTOP EVERYDAY, YOU BLOCK A NUMBER AND THEY CALL ON ANOTHER I JUST DON'T ANSWER AND HOPE THEY WILL GET THE MESSAGE.

Thank you for sharing this... I'm in the same boat where I have asked to be removed yet somehow new "mobile numbers" of theirs come up. Another one to add to my Blocked Callers list.

Also, for those of you who haven't yet, could be a good idea to register on the "Do Not Call Register" website... I'll be keeping track of Mater moving forward.

I already have a direct debt to TRYand win a house but they keep wanting more money. If I wanted more tickets I would buy them myself. Going to cancel now sick of persistent phone calls.
