Caller: Cold calling about electricity accounts

Calling about wanting information about my electricity account. Told him not in control of the account and he immediately hung up

Anything with this 0488 prefix tends to recognised as spam and duly blocked. This number was no exception.

Can hear a call centre in the background and when I said I didn't have time to talk he said "then why did you pick up the phone ma'am".

The caller was offering me 18% discount on my bill staying with the same company. When I said I would call him back he wanted to know why and kept repeating he was not a scammer. Thus number has called a few times, I’ve now blocked it. Please don’t be caught out!

Keeps on calling me. Eventually I answered no one was talking. Really annoying !

I said ‘hello’ and they immediately hung up

Energy company comparison cold calling but they had my name, when I said I wasn't interested he said I have no reason not to want to hear about the energy savings, I said I don't need a reason to not be interested in what he is offering and he said ok I will call back and hung up, BLOCKED

I Missed the orginal call, called back and got a message that it was from some electricity provider and the message also gave me the option to opt out and have my number removed from their caller list. which I did. within the same minute I got another call from the number, which I proceeded to tell the caller that he should not be calling me.. he stated that it was'nt him that called, obviously lying. push him on it, then he hung up.

Bloody outrageous I spent 4.5hrs on this call only to find I got only 30% discount on my electricity. Seems I'm paying this company and my normal company, I don't know, strange world we're in.

Couldn't pronouce my name, got frustrated, hung up. Now blocked ☺

Saw I missed multiple calls from this number, thought I'd check as we are doing some business at the moment and it could've been important. WRONG. Someone trying to sell electricity or similar. I cut them off and blocked the number.
