Says they’re calling from Australia, left a message with noise in the background but said nothing. Probably a telemarketer.

Rings me daily even though I have blocked, when you ring back goes to voicemail of an Australian lady says they’re from “Advance impact” trying to reach me through a charity partner. Have reported to scam registry

SCAM Alert! Have you had a call from an unfamiliar number starting with 0488 813?

We're getting reports of a new scam doing the rounds, with people receiving calls from a number starting with 0488 813 XYX - the last three digits differ from call to call. The calls appear to originate from a VoIP phone.

The caller introduced themselves as being from 'technical support' and requested remote access to the recipient's computer.

Several other people stated that the caller pretended to be from a government authority and requested personal information such as name, date of birth and address.

If you receive such a call and the caller is not known to you, please consider hanging up. Please be mindful of providing your personal information over the phone.

Telemarketing on behalf of Amnesty. Got number by way of sticker promotion on Facebook

2 or 3 times a day at any time day or night. Been nearly 2 weeks. Picked up once and was just noise crackly/staticy. Same second time. Block immediately!

Repeatedly called me almost 10 times over 2 days, oftentimes multiple calls in a row before they took a break and resumed.

I blocked them after they kept calling for the 5th time and then continue to receive messages that they tried to call me

2nd day today that they have called. I haven't answered. I see a few people have mentioned Amnesty. I donated to them over a 10 year period. Only cancelled my subscription 2 months ago.

***DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER*** My telco network immediately flagged it as a "suspicious call" - they are trying to do remote access scams on people's computers. I've blocked and reported.

They are trying to tell me they are from a charity. They have been calling consistently over 36 hours and are now blocked.

Calling in behalf of a charity. Might be calling you if you’ve signed up to receive free stickers or something of the like.

They said they were from the RSPCA and knew my name but when I said I wasn’t making a donation over the phone they hung up

Constant phone calls from this number. Have blocked it but they continue ringing, times so far today!
