Caller: Tim & another guy

Kept calling all day on this same mobile number and knew I had a gas account with Energy Australia all ready and asked for information on my electricity, Told them I didn’t have it with me and to mail me their offer and was told it was on its way then called me back for the 4th time today at 7.30pm and I gave him a piece of my mind and hung up, checked the number and thanks to everyone on this site for confirming another scammer.

Caller: Female Indian accent

Claiming to be from check my bill from energy aust and able to change plan. Very scam feel , don’t confirm anything with them.

Caller: Said they are energy australia (but their not) then transfers to a company call check my bills.

I got a call at 6pm from a guy with an Indian accent called Tim. He knew my name and my adress. He also seemed to know that i was already with energy australia and offered me 25% off because "im a loyal customer". But the thing is I'm already made the phone call to switch to them over a week ago and offered my 24% off my plan. He wouldn't answer my question about my switch of company and why it didn't go through and was getting annoyed at my question. He said if I wanted the new plan he would transfer the call over to a company call " check my bill" Then he stayed on the line until a lady answered also with an Indian accent. He Told her who I was and about the new plan then hung up. The phone call was getting too scamy so I told her I'll call up energy australia tomorrow to get this new plan but she kept trying to keep me in the line saying I couldn't get this deal. Then she started to get angry so I hung up.

When i call energy austrlia to check everything they said they do not make these call and it wasn't them.

She said that she was from Energy Australia. And will give me 25% of my bill only for existing customer.

Called 3 times without leaving a message, when I tried to call back 3 times number was busy

It's a scam, they claim to be from Energy Australia.

Scammer lady claiming to be from Energy Australia. I hung up saying not interested and blocked the number

they will say your name, and then hang up. Once you try to call them back, the line is engaged

Called 23 June 2021 - and I saw these messages and did not answer.

Fraud

Called three times with different people, saying they were from EnergyAustralia, and were offering a 25% discount across the board for my bills if I switched my electricity to them and kept asking for my details.

Didn't follow a proper script, seemed dodgy, could hear noise of people in the backround.

Probably a scam

they called me saying that they are calling on behalf of Energy Australia - and wanted me to switch to a new plan - they seemed to have most of the info on my bill already ... and wanted to fill an application on the call...and started asking ID document details - to which I said NO ! it sounded fishy ... and I knew that they would ask for ID info and then move onto billing details...

No message left. Has called 4 times in one day. Number is now blocked

Unsolicited call. Guy on the phone said he is from EnergyAustralia. Very dodgy so I hanged up.

Wanted to talk to me about my power bill. Said they were from Energy Australia. I said no thanks and hung up. They called back the following afternoon, I didn't answer, no message left. Have blocked number

I think he claims to be from energyaustralia but is actually from a different company. I recongise that voice. Once he knows he can offer you a better deal, he will approach you with real identity. When I told him, I don't have the option to switch providers, he backed off immediately. Besides, he already had all of my personal details.

Called tonight and a feww times previously that I missed. There was with a lot of background noise (sounds like a call centre) stating they were from 'Energy Australia' and we were eligible for lots of 'benefits'. Thing is we have solar and our last bill was a refund. Sounds like a SCAM. Caller had Indian accent. When in doubt BLOCK the number.

Said they were calling on behalf of EnergyAustralia. Wanted to confirm my address right away and read an address to me wanting to confirm it. That sounded dodgy as it sounded like they were trying to get info. When I said I didn’t have time, they were keen to stay on. That is a give away.

Didn't leave a message, was 'busy' when I tried to call back
