What's the point of the Do Not Call register if these types of pricks keep ringing?

I don't answer unknown numbers anymore, then I google the number in case it is something important.... usually there's a lot of comments about nuisance calls. in case it's not, with unlimited calls I can always call back. People who really need to talk to you will leave a message. You pretty much know it's a dodgy call when they call at dinner time.

I have a telstra guardian phone ... unknown callers have to announce who they are and press hash to connect... if they dont it doesnt connect. i have the option of accepting calls or...blocking or sending to answering machine without them knowing. .... Known callers can be added to your list and they come straight
through. I have this caller blocked now.

keep on ringing you goof balls because your wasting time and that makes me happy.i never answer phone numbers I do not know.

This is a company doing a survey in the Wentworth Electorate re voting choices but unfortunately they keep calling on my mobile and home phone even though I’ve already answered their pre-recorded questions. I’ve probably had 6 calls from this number

Waste of time being on the DNC register, these pricks keep calling.

No one spoke straight away but then automated voice said Press 1 I hung up before I heard anything more. Wish I could block callers on my home phone!!!!

Called me in Sydney at 6:45pm, didn't know or answer as thought it may be a client and didn't have my pc up ready.
Googled number and saw all this.
Registered on DNC, what is the point when it doesn't work??

I returned the call on this number. I was given a PO Box number supposedly in A'Becket St Melbourne, that doesn't come up on Google, and a return 1300 number that comes up as a Pest Control company in Sydney. 1300 156 556. Weird. Have now blocked them.

I don't answer numbers I don't know, then I check who called me and based on what I read I have blocked the number on my mobile phone I now have seven Blocked Number contacts when is the telecommunication ombudsman, the Australia Government and the telephone companies in Australia going to start tracing and reporting these numbers to the authorities of the country of origin so these scammers can be stopped, fined or jailed!!!!!!!

Rang twice today in less than an hour, I answered first time no one there and let it rang the second time.

I have had a few calls from this number. I have it blocked so my phone doesn't ring but I do get a notification telling me after that I have a missed call from that number 0488 822 648

Also has numbers 0488 822 713 and 0488 822 702. All SCAMMERS.
